excuse the last post - I always do that with text posts -.-
With all of the people messaging me and their high number of ticket purchases I am going to have to start a wait list. If I have the time or funds to front you for the Family Mart Happy Kuji Lottery I will let you know. As of right now I need to go out and cover 10 people out of pocket - so please let me recuperate and then once they have payed me back for their items and the shipping I will make another update. So if you’re interested please - by all means let me know by PMing me - not on anon - and I will get back to you if a spot opens up. Thanks everybody.
Anonymous asked: Can i send you $8 on PayPal to play the kuju lottery for me? Then I will pay for shipping and handling if I win anything?
You will win something anon. So let me give the same spiel I have given everyone else.
This is a raffle. Not every item holds the same value. So no matter what you will be spending $8 a ticket. Shipping will vary greatly depending on the size and weight of the prize. You can be looking anywhere from $8-18 in shipping depending on the speed and size as I said before.
To make this fair I will go in your place and make a purchase at a store that has the most variety in prizes. I go between 3 stores to make a purchase for each person separately. So I am literally going in your place to one of these stores. Your draw is your draw. That’s the most fair way I can do it.
That said - to offset disappointment as much as possible. I decided to purchase a few more tickets myself to give a bit of variety. That way I can try to prevent you getting two of the same things (if you decide to purchase more than one). Unless you want two of the certain prizes of courseas the ABS prizes are blind boxes and are random.
If you accept the odds and the way this works then please come off anon and PM me for my e-mail address and we can talk about it there. Thanks!
P.S. Give me some time to ship the item out as I am doing this between work. Also please be ready to pay at a moment’s notice, I can’t be waiting for you to collect as I am just doing this as a service for people who want to participate. I’m not asking for you to pay me for my services but I ask that you be patient with me. That said I will only ask you to pay when I am 110% sure I can send it out that evening or the next morning. Paypal only.
I’m going to reblog this a couple more times to extend the offer to anybody else who may be interested. Everything is going to be going for a higher rate after the event is over as everything is exclusive so if you’d like to participate message me soon because I’m going to be closing it off.
Not from that terrible show, but smaller gundams/models in general.
HLJ - If that link doesn’t work properly then just go to the main page and change the “all categories” to “Gundam” under the tab next to the search bar and type in SD. Then tick the box saying “Show only Available Items” and have a ball. They will even track down back ordered or out of stock for you if possible. That’s the cheapest I have seen them online
I accidentally deleted the question but I was asked about some of my hobbies outside of Collecting by someone anonymous so I apologize to whoever that was.
To answer that - I’m super into cars. I’m really only familiar with old muscle cars on a technical level - and even then..I’m only familiar with my car. I didn’t have a chance to take an auto class in highschool - so I learn on my own time. When I have a stable income and a more permanent living situation I’d love to get a beater and teach myself how to drive stick. Then practice tuning.
I just drive around town for maybe an hour or two a day whenever I’m back California just to listen to music and take Kairi around since she loves the Chevelle as much or more than I do.
I grew up playing hockey, so that’s ingrained in me. I can’t really sit down and watch sports at all but I do keep up with highlights for the San Jose Sharks (home team band wagon) and Detroit Red Wings (my fav). I really only get into it when either the Wings or Sharks are past the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Music. I can’t make any and I unfortunately can’t play an instrument but I love music. All of it.
Movies. Some of my favorites are Three Outlaw Samurai, Once Upon a Time in the West, Drive, 13 Assassins, The Killer (hong kong cinema), Hard Boiled, Harakiri: death of a samurai, 5 Cm Per Second, Wolf Children Ame and Yuki, Howl’s Moving Castle, Akira, etc.
I love cooking. I worked in a restaurant while I lived in NY and that turned into a passion.
I am into fashion. I don’t buy name brands but I enjoy going around to the shops around town and buying from the 2nd hand stores/thrift shops around Osaka.
I love bicycling. Fell in love with it last year in Kyoto. On the weekends I would just bike from Central Kyoto to Joyo (about half way to Nara) going in a giant circle always taking a new route, rain or shine just for the love of it.
TL;DR: Cars/Driving, Hockey, Movies, Music, Fashion, Bicycling, Cooking, and the obvious toys & games I usually post
Anonymous asked: What is a toy company you hate or actively avoid?
There isn’t a company I am particularly against when it comes to toys or figures. I enjoy the hobby too much to do myself that kind of disservice. I do get particularly excited about licenses I am familiar with (as to be expected) but I do also get excited for cool robots and awesome character designs coming to life through plastic. Static or otherwise. Thanks for the question anon
What about a company’s general quality issues? Jazwares is rather infamous in some lines for their quality control, or lack thereof.
I actually cut my original response in half. I specifically mentioned Mattel and Playarts when talking about quality and justifying a purchase. I play the patient game whenever possible. Even for toys I am interested in. I can wait a few months if it means I can get something on sale. I only pre-order toys I know will sell out or I’m fairly certain will not get a re-release.
Why? One - It seems like I buy a lot (which I do - don’t get me wrong) but the last time I payed full price for a toy was Revoltech Raiden. The time before that - I cannot even remember. I’m unfortunately not Mr. Moneybags or I wouldn’t spend as much time as I do just shopping around. I think I may spend more time looking for deals than I do actually enjoying what I have -.-. Two - is for quality. Play arts kai sculpts do not bother me at all. People complain about “peanut knees” which are fine with me - I like pose-ability - but I do not like how some of the faces can be afflicted with messy paint jobs. So I wait it out. I only buy what I can compare in stores for a price I can justify. I was lucky enough to have that luxury in California. I had multiple import shops down the street for me that kept the figures at sale prices consistently. Mattel almost had me on their Matty Collector Voltron..but they blew it with qc issues riddling every one of the project releases. So that has ended up being a toy I will never even consider due to it’s absurd price points completely ignoring it’s lack of general quality.
In the case of Jazwares - the only reason I have ever looked at them is for their Mortal Kombat stuff. And honestly for the price they had their figures at in my area (always on sale-so I can’t speak for their retail price point)…I didn’t mind them despite their obvious lack of qc. That said, I never actually got one of their toys because I always opted for something else I had in hand. Usually a transformer or two.
The reason I cut all that out of my original response is because my answer remains the same regardless. I will never actively avoid any of these companies. Mattel still puts out toys I am interested in (mainly Master’s of the Universe) and Jazwares still has Mortal Kombat. Play Arts still put’s out toys I am interested despite their faults. If I am ever iffy on something, I wait it out. When X item reaches X price point and I can justify the pick up - then I may or may not go for it despite whatever negativity surrounds it.
Fun Fact: my worst experience with a company has been with Goodsmile Company - on more than one occasion. But I still support them. Even with licenses I am unfamiliar with. I have just had the worst luck with GSC, but I never took to the forums or boards (and never will) and lambasted them for it. Luck of the draw. And I was just terribly unlucky. Not just once, but twice…at premium prices.
